Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve - Is there any difference from the previous entry, Ace Combat 7?

This game, as the latest entry in Namco’s series, immediately reminded me of Ace Combat 7. I’m not sure how much further they could really push things beyond Ace Combat 7, but they’ve definitely taken a step forward technically.

Of course, being a brand-new game, things like water reflections, textures, and overall visual quality are noticeably better compared to a game that’s now seven years old.

What also caught my attention is the more direct storytelling. In the previous game, the characters were basically just voices. Here, we can actually see them, interact with them, and, for the first time, we even have a protagonist who actually speaks.

These all feel like some really positive improvements. The game is coming out on October 2nd!
